Accountant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Post and file accounts receivable and provide specified monthly reports including an accounts receivable aging.
* Handle all aspects of billing for goods sold, including the transmission of information to concerned parties as required.
* Process all incoming orders for stock products from initiation through billing, including issuing shipping instructions.
* Maintain and adjust inventory control records for finished goods entering the warehouse and/or shipping from the warehouse.
* Furnish selected customers (as directed) inventory reports.
* Post shop floor reporting.
* Understand and participate in departmental housekeeping regulations and requirements.
* Close and file accounts payable documents.
* Resolve, or direct to appropriate personnel for resolution, any billing issues. Manage open / closed status of invoices by number.
* Comply with safety rules and guidelines in all areas of the facility, report unsafe conditions to management.
* Comply with quality control procedures through in-process inspection/detection/load marking/correction/prevention activities as applicable and comply with quality system doctrines through adherence to work instructions/policies/procedures.
* Work up commissions to be paid, post fuel trip reports, and provide other monthly reports as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* The ability to use or learn to use current software applications is required.
* Reading and reading comprehension skills are required.
* Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workflow is required.
* Business mathematics skills are required.
* The ability to perform the essential duties listed above is required.
* Fluency in the English language is required.
* Basic written and oral communication skills are required.
* The ability to use or learn to use an adding machine is required.
