Vice President Of Finance
Tyler, TX
Full Time
Senior Executive
POSITION OVERVIEW
Frankston Packaging Company, LLC is a private equity-backed multi-site label, carton, and RFID
manufacturer seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead all financial operations. This is
not a traditional “big company” CFO role—the ideal candidate will be equally comfortable
presenting to the Board of Directors and rolling up their sleeves to post journal entries, manage
vendor negotiations, and troubleshoot ERP issues.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position serves as the primary financial leader across multiple
operating entities in Texas and Virginia. The VP of Finance will lead a small accounting team and
be expected to drive continuous improvements in financial reporting accuracy, cash flow
management, and lender compliance.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This is a working VP of Finance position where you will take ownership of daily cash
management, lender relationships, and month-end close processes while simultaneously building
toward a scalable finance function. You will be the primary point of contact for our asset-based
lender and will manage weekly borrowing base certificates, cash forecasts, and covenant
compliance.
The company operates across multiple ERP systems (NetSuite for GL, ASI for Frankston
production, Label Tracks for Tyler and Virginia), which creates complexity in financial
consolidation and inventory valuation. The successful candidate will have experience navigating
multi-system environments and driving process improvements to streamline reporting.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash and Treasury Management
The ideal candidate is a “player-coach” who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels. You
should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to post journal entries, investigate variances, and
resolve vendor issues—while also being able to step back and present financial results to the Board. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where you need to prioritize effectively
and build processes from the ground up.
You have a track record of driving results in growing organizations. You understand that “perfect
is the enemy of good” and you know when to invest in process improvements versus when to
accept pragmatic workarounds. You communicate directly, push back constructively, and earn
credibility through results.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frankston Packaging is a family-founded business (since 1967) with deep roots in East Texas.
While we operate with private equity backing and professional financial discipline, we maintain a
down-to-earth, relationship-driven culture. Our leadership team rolls up their sleeves, and we
expect the same from our VP of Finance. You will work closely with long-tenured employees who
bring decades of institutional knowledge, and new team members who are driving operational
improvements. Success in this role requires both financial acumen and the interpersonal skills to
build trust across the organization.
